Jawa Classic gets two more colours

Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra, is in the process of relaunching an iconic bike back into the market - the Jawa. In the first phase, it will launch two models of Jawa - the Classic and Forty-Two. They are priced at Rs 1.64 lakh and 1.55 lakh, respectively.

During the unveiling ceremony, the Jawa was displayed in maroon colour; Jawa has announced two more colours - Jawa black and Jawa grey.

The Jawa will come with gold stripes and chrome accents on the front and back fenders, fuel tank and on the side panels.

Classic will be powered by 298 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine. Equipped with fuel injected technology, the engine complies with Bharat Stage VI emission norms. It churns out 27 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gear box.

The bike has a single 280mm disc at the front with a floating caliper and a 153mm drum brake at the rear. A single-channel ABS is standard and enhances safety.

The suspension duty is taken care of by telescopic front forks and twin rear springs. Reminding one of the old Jawa, there are twin-sided exhaust pipes with chrome finish.
