Mumbai: Five girl students of a south Mumbai school are missing since Friday, the police said on Saturday.
Parents of the girls approached the police as the kids failed to return to their respective homes from school on Friday afternoon.
Mid-term exam results were declared on Friday and these girls, class 8 students at the private school, had failed in two or three subjects each, according to their teachers.
After receiving the complaints, police used a drone camera to look for them in the surrounding area, but it did not yield any results.
CCTV footage showed that all five were at Marine Drive in South Mumbai till 2.40 pm, but they went off the surveillance grid after that, the police officer said.
