Haryana: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured 48 out of the total 90 assembly seats in Haryana, positioning itself to form a hat-trick government in the state. This marks the first time a party has won three consecutive terms in Haryana. The Congress secured 37 constituencies, including Julana, where wrestler Vinesh Phogat won her first battle, defeating BJP nominee Yogesh Kumar by a margin of 6,015 votes.

In the 2019 assembly elections, the saffron party failed to reach the majority mark with 40 seats. However, it formed a coalition government with support from the JJP and some independent MLAs.

Not acceptable, integrity of democratic process in question: Cong
Alleging a conspiracy, the Congress on Tuesday said it would not accept the Haryana Assembly poll result as it raises serious questions about the integrity of the democratic system's instruments. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the Haryana result is a victory of manipulation and subverting the people's will. He also alleged that it is a defeat of transparent and democratic processes.

Ramesh claimed serious issues with the counting process and the functioning of the electronic voting machines (EVMs) in around 14 constituencies and that Congress would take up the matter with the Election Commission soon.
