Registration for COVID-19 vaccination for 15-18 age group begins in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The registration for administration of COVID-19 vaccine for the age group of 15-18 years has begun in Kerala as the inoculation drive is set to begin on Monday.
As per the current decision, only Covaxin manufactured by the Bharat Biotech will be administered in the special vaccination centres opened specifically for this age group.
Those who have registered through the central government's CoWin portal will be given preference.
The Department of Education will give assistance to those students who are unable to register on CoWin.
Spot registration facility has also been arranged at the centres. Each educational institution is required to submit the list of those who have been vaccinated and those who are yet to get the shot to the respective District Education Officer (DEO).
A copy of each list should be sent to the respective Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) officer.
Pink boards at centres
Pink boards will be installed at the vaccination centres that offer doses to the age group. The boards will be displayed at the entrance of the centre, the registration counter and near the vaccination booths.
Vaccines will be administered to the age group of 15-18 years at the district/taluk/community health centres till January 10 on all days except on Wednesdays. The centres will function on Sundays also. Special vaccination centres for children will function at family health centres and primary health centres on four days except on Wednesday, including Sunday.
Vaccination camps for adults to continue
Special vaccination centres will function at the district, taluk, and community health centres for those above 18 on all days except Sunday and Wednesday.
In primary health centres and family health centres, vaccines will be administered on Monday and Thursday. Blue boards will be used for identification and display details at these centres.
