Kochi police intercept container lorry, nab 3 men for suspected car theft

Kochi: The Panangad police have intercepted a container lorry and taken into custody three Rajasthan natives on suspicion of stealing a car from Ooty. The police intercepted the vehicle at Nettoor based on a tip-off from the Tamil Nadu police. 

The police could not, however, find the car inside the container. A gas cutter was found. The Rajasthan natives were being questioned by the police when one of them attempted to escape through the window of the station’s toilet. However, police quickly caught him within the premises.

The city police were trying to contact their Rajasthan counterparts to fetch more details about the suspects in custody.
