Kudumbashree's 'Pocket Mart' to go live in August

Idukki: To brighten up the upcoming Onam season, Kudumbashree is launching its online product sales platform, Pocket Mart, allowing Onam essentials to be delivered to homes with just a click. The online store will become operational in the first week of August.
Nearly 80 products from Kudumbashree units across Idukki district will be available through Pocket Mart. Special Onam kits, priced up to ₹799, will be offered through the platform. These kits include a variety of items such as banana chips, jaggery-coated chips (sharkkara varatti), turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, masala blends, and pickles.
In the initial phase, around 1,000 products from GST-registered Kudumbashree units will be listed on the platform. Sixteen such units from Idukki alone will contribute. All Community Development Societies (CDS) in the district are preparing the Onam kits.
Apart from homemade snacks and spices, the platform will also feature cosmetics, textiles, and a variety of services and products from Kudumbashree enterprises like Lunch Bell, Café, Kerala Chicken, K for Care, Quick Serve, e-Seva Kendram, and construction units.
The Pocket Mart online store app is available for download from the Google Play Store. Customers can purchase products from any district through this app. Kudumbashree officials added that the process of uploading product details is currently underway.
