Palakkad: A 40-year-old man was found dead inside his house at Karampotta in Kozhinjampara here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kumar, son of Marimuthu.
Police suspect murder but are yet to confirm. They have ruled out suicide and said that a TV cable was found near the body.
Santosh, a carpenter by profession, lived alone in the house, said Karampotta ward member Preetha K. He was reportedly in a relationship with a married woman. Locals said that her husband and Santosh had a dispute two days ago. On Tuesday evening, the man was seen at Santosh's house, and by around 10.30 pm, locals learnt of his death.
Police said the inquest is underway and declined to share further details. A forensic team is examining the body at the house.
