Eloor: The long-abandoned paddy fields of Eloor saw fresh life as students and teachers of the Buds School visited the newly germinated crop, joining farmers in celebrating the land’s revival.
The children were welcomed by municipal councillors and local farmers. Watching the tender paddy shoots sway in the breeze, interacting with the farmers, and clicking pictures while standing amidst the green saplings, the children could hardly contain their delight. Their laughter and songs soon mingled with those of the farmers.
The visit was organised as part of a programme titled ‘Children to the paddy fields’. Municipal councillors Saritha Praseedan, Laiji Sajeevan and Seema Biju, along with School Principal Baby John and members of the Polder Committee, took part in the event.
