C H Kunjambu MLA, will inaugurate the district-level campaign at the Pallikkara Family Healthcare Centre at 8.30 AM. Polio booths have been arranged at all locations where children are likely to gather, including anganwadis, schools, healthcare centres, bus stands and railway stations.

Arrangements have been made to administer the vaccine at home for children who miss the immunisation during the drive.
Type 2 Polio was eradicated globally in 2015 through sustained Pulse Polio campaigns conducted in various phases. As a viral disease, Polio has no definitive cure. However, a fully effective preventive vaccine is available.
