Lathika was two when polio struck, leaving her legs paralysed.
The recent polio infection in an unvaccinated baby in Gaza is the first time the disease has been reported in the territory in more than 25 years.
The volunteers would also visit homes, on March 4 and 5, to ensure that all children below five years have been administered the polio vaccine.
Jaison, a native of Varappuzha in Ernakulam district, has given complaints to the Minister, panchayat director, Commissioners for Persons with Disabilities and other officials concerned, stating that there are no facilities for him to reach the first-floor office.
