Kottayam: Several people were injured at Laikadu on the MC Road in Changanassery on Sunday after two KSRTC buses were involved in a head-on collision. The accident occurred when a fast passenger bus heading to Thiruvananthapuram and an ordinary service bus from Thiruvalla collided.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to Onmanorama, the collision unfolded after a speeding car attempted to overtake the fast passenger bus from the left. The bus driver swerved to the right to avoid a collision with the car, but the fast passenger then crashed into the oncoming bus.

The fast passenger driver and around 15 passengers sustained injuries. They were taken to Pushpagiri Hospital and the Changanassery Taluk Hospital. Authorities confirmed that none of the injuries were serious.
