Kottayam: Over 20 students from Government Higher Secondary School, Thonnakkal, in Thiruvananthapuram were injured after a tourist bus skidded off the road and overturned at Pala's Ramapuram in the wee hours of Wednesday. The group was returning from Kodaikanal when the accident occurred.
The injured have been admitted to the Government Hospital in Pala. Police confirmed that none of them sustained severe injuries.
According to initial reports, the bus lost control and overturned while crossing the Choorapetta curve near Nellappara on the Pala–Thodupuzha road.
It is learnt that the vehicle was one of three buses on a school excursion. A total of 45 students and teachers were on the bus, said police.
