Thrissur: A fire broke out at a bakery on Korath Line near Kizhakkekotta in Thrissur on Tuesday, leaving three people with burn injuries.

The injured, identified as employees Varghese (51), Balu (53) and Shantha (54), were admitted to Thrissur General Hospital for treatment. The fire is suspected to have been triggered by a leak from a cooking gas cylinder.

Two units of the Fire and Rescue Services rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. The operation was led by Assistant Station Officer T Anilkumar, with Senior Fire and Rescue Officer M G Rajesh and Fire and Rescue Officers R Sreehari, Sandeep C S, V Ramesh, Ranjith Papachan, Pratheesh P K, Jimod V V, trainee Santhu, Sajeesh, and Home Guard Aneesh Albin forming part of the team.
