Kuwait: A Keralite female nurse, hailing from Kottayam, was stabbed at her house at Abbasiya in Kuwait.
The incident took place at 8.30 am Tuesday when Gopika Biju returned home after her night shift at Al-Jahra Hospital in Kuwait City.
Sources said that she was stabbed by a thief while resisting a robbery bid. Gopika, a native of Kollad, was rushed to Farwaniya Hospital and underwent a surgery. She is out of danger, sources added.
Last week, a Keralite nurse was found murdered in her flat in Oman, another Gulf nation. Shebin Jeeva, 31, hailing from Nedumkandam in Idukki district, was found dead in her flat near Dohar Club.
