IPL 2024: Chennai Super Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants in pix

Marcus Stoinis smashed an unbeaten 124 off just 63 balls to script Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) stunning six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2024 on Tuesday night. The Australian all-rounder smashed 19 off Muztafizur Rahman's first three balls of the final over, which also included a no-ball, as LSG pulled off the highest chase at Chepuk in IPL history.

Stoinis had the distinction of notching up the highest score in a successful IPL chase. The victory also helped LSG do the double over CSK this season.

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad's unbeaten 108 and Shivam Dube's 27-ball 66 powered the home side to 210/4 after being put in to bat. The two added 104 for the fourth wicket to take CSK past the 200-run mark.

However, Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran (34 off 15 balls) put on 70 for the fourth wicket to turn the tide in LSG's favour. Stoinis took them home in the company of Deepak Hooda (17 not out off 6 balls).

LSG jumped to fourth place with 10 points from eight games, while CSK slipped to fifth with eight points from as many outings.

LSG next meet table-toppers Rajasthan Royals at home on Saturday while CSK host Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.
