An unexpected collaboration gave the Malayali community a crossover they never saw coming. Malayali cricketer Sanju Samson’s Instagram story has gone viral within hours as the stardust became too much for people to handle. Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Sanju and legendary actor Mohanlal collaborated in a very informal and unlikely conversation on social media.

Samson, after winning the player of the tournament in India’s triumphant T20 World Cup 2026 campaign, had mentioned being in constant touch with Tendulkar. He talked about the long conversations he had with Tendulkar helping him to hit form and become a match-winner for India.

Tendulkar, in an interaction with a fan on Reddit, was asked what he told Samson to turn things around for the cricketer in the World Cup, to which he struck back with a witty reply. Tendulkar quoted the famous dialogue from Mohanlal’s blockbuster movie 'Narasimham', commenting, “Nee po mone Dinesha! Sanju will tell you what it means,” with a cheeky wink to follow.

A Sanju fan page, namely Team Samson, posted the interaction on Instagram, which Sanju pinned on his official handle as a social media story, tagging Tendulkar and Mohanlal himself. “The best person to share the meaning is our own Lalettan,” said Sanju, asking the actor to add to the fun.

Lal did not hold back and quickly came up with a reply showering both the cricketers with praise. Addressing Sanju with his famous “Mone”(son), Malayali’s favourite Lalettan said, “Nee po mone Dinesha” was a fitting reply for the opposition bowlers of back in the days when Tendulkar used to bat. The dialogue suits the scene after hitting a six, asking the bowler to show what he has left in him. He concluded by saying Sanju’s bat is replying with the same note, and wished the wicket-keeper to keep the good run going.

The interaction has gone viral, with fans on Instagram celebrating the union of three of the biggest names in India coming together and publicising their admiration for each other in a witty exchange.
