Hello
Sanju took to social media to make his position clear after he was left out of the Indian squad for the ODI series against Australia.
Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was included in the 15-member squad for the first two matches against Australia, while middle-order batter Tilak Varma who made his ODI debut in the recent Asia Cup was retained.
Having invested so heavily and exclusively on SKY during the entire period of build-up to the World Cup, the selectors were left with no other option but to include SKY in the squad despite the diminishing returns from his blade.
None of the Indian top-order batters can roll their arms over and the fact that the likes of Bumrah, Shami, Siraj and Kuldeep hardly contribute with the bat could hurt India big time in a pressure-game.
As per a report in The Indian Express, Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna, currently in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup, where Sanju is a travelling reserve, also miss out on a spot in the World Cup squad.
Sanju Samson will be a traveling stand-by player.
Shubman Gill tapered off after a blazing start but Ishan Kishan's golden run of form, Sanju Samson's impactful fifty and Hardik Pandya's smashing 70 powered India to a mammoth total.
Sanju Samson is part of the 15-member squad that will travel to Dublin.
Suryakumar, who is struggling to make his all-round game work in the 50-over format, will be looking to bat long and make a match-winning contribution.
After rejigging their batting line-up in the first ODI, India continued their experimentation and the move backfired as the Caribbean team cruised to a six-wicket win that squared the series.
