Veteran football manager Carlo Ancelotti said he has no desire to coach another club as he prepares to leave Real Madrid and take charge as head coach of Brazil men's national team.
The 65-year-old won 14 major trophies with Real, including three Champions League titles and two La Liga crowns. Real Madrid called him "a true legend", and it is only fair that he feels it might be improper to coach another club and potentially cross paths with his former employers.
"These are things I don't know," Ancelotti told reporters on if he wishes to return to Madrid after coaching Brazil. "I don't feel like coaching another club, or I didn't, after Madrid. That's what I've said and I maintain. In the future... I don't know. But the most immediate thing is to do well with Brazil.
"I'm very excited to have the opportunity to not betray Madrid with any other club and to go to the national team with the most history, the five-time champions. It's a great challenge, but I love being able to prepare for a World Cup with Brazil."
Ancelotti coached some of the top clubs, including Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Chelsea, before having his most successful years in Madrid. Former Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is linked to the Real manager's post, which Ancelotti will soon vacate.
"He has the quality to coach Madrid. Let him enjoy it," Ancelotti said about Alonso.
