Carlo Ancelotti was on Monday confirmed as the head coach of the Brazilian men’s national football team.
Spanish media report Ancelotti would take over ahead of 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June, leaving Madrid before the Club World Cup starts in the United States this summer.

In March of this year, then Brazilian FA (CBF) president Ednaldo Rodrigues told Reuters that Ancelotti was his main target for the position of national team coach.
Ancelotti's contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
The CBF is still pursuing Real Madrid manager Ancelotti to be its new coach in the long term.
It was their 20th Copa del Rey title and first since 2014.
Brazil's federation issued a statement in February denying a report they had reached a verbal agreement with Ancelotti, who is under contract at Real Madrid until 2024.
