Where is Koombanmala
Kurinji Koombanmala is located in Ramapuram panchayat in Kottayam, Kerala. The slithering vines, huge rock structures and the mesmerising 360-degree view are some of the highlights of this spot. The hill got its name as it appears in a pyramid shape from afar.
The small waterfall at Thalikuthan rocks is cool and refreshing. Meanwhile, Vellamneekkipara is a few kilometres ahead. From here, you could reach the Meenpara viewpoint. The vast rocky surface and beautiful sights of nature make this viewpoint extra special. You could see Idukki and Ernakulam districts from the Kuninji viewpoint near Meenpara viewpoint. Eetakkanirappu is the entrance to Kottamala viewpoint, where you will be treated to enchanting views of nature.
Here's how to reach
Reach Pala from Kottayam and turn at Kurinji junction in Pala – Thodupuzha road to enter Pala – Ramapuram Road. The entrance to Koombanmala is at Neelapara Road near the Kurinji Church junction. Koombanmala is 44 kilometres from Kottayam. Meanwhile, this place is just 15 kilometres from Thodupuzha.
Thalikuthanpara is close to the entrance of Kurinji Koombanmala. Vellamneekipara is two kilometres from here on the Kurinji Nellapara Road; just 200 metres away is Meenpara viewpoint. Kuninji viewpoint is two kilometres, and Kottamala viewpoint is only a kilometre from Vellamneekipara.
