The Global Village, Dubai's wonderful theme park cum shopping mall, has begun its Christmas and New Year celebrations, with scheduled programmes running until January 4. A winter market, dancing elves, Santa Claus, a 21-metre-tall Christmas tree, seven fireworks, cultural shows, and DJ parties... there is no end to the festivity options at the tourist attraction this year. Across 27 pavilions, tourists can check out around 90 different cultures from all corners of the world at the Global Village. Every moment here can be celebrated by watching art shows and capturing a picture with Santa.
Mini World, featuring miniatures of world-famous structures, is also in the midst of Christmas celebrations. The new, 28th season at Global Village also features around 400 performers from across the world. The 'Wonder of Winter' will be celebrated here till January 8. On December 31, families can enjoy New Year's Eve with special fireworks. There is also a new Russian pavilion where visitors can discover the Christmas and New Year traditions of the country.
