Coronavirus scare: List of tourist destinations shut in Kerala

Amid the COVID-19 scare, the national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and the major tourist spots in the state have been closed. Meanwhile, the eco-tourism centres would be closed till March 31. The nature study camps too have been cancelled.

The Kochi Wonderla amusement park would be shut from March 11 till March 20.

The Shendurney eco-tourism project has been closed till March 31. The tourists wouldn’t be allowed to enter the deer park in Thenmala.

The entry to the Periyar wildlife sanctuary has been banned till March 31. Boating cancelled in Thekkady.

The Konni eco-tourism centre, the elephant reserve and the Thannithod – Adavi coracle boat rides too are closed.

The entry of tourists via Angamoozhy-Gavi too has been banned.

All the tourist centres in Thrissur would be closed.

No entry at the Thrissur zoo – museum. Entry restricted till March 31 at Punnathoor Aanakotta (elephant fort).

Thumboomuzhi, Athirappilli and Vazhachal tourism centres are closed. Tourists are advised to avoid trips to the Malakkarapara area.

In the Palakkad district, the major eco-tourism centres like the Silent Valley national park, Parambikulam tiger reserve, Nelliampathy, Chulanur Pea Fowl Sanctuary and Siruvani dam are closed till 31 March.

Entry restricted for tourists at Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. The vehicles arriving from Kerala should be strictly sanitized.

The Kalayude Darbar program which was planned to be held at the various galleries of the Lalithakala Akademi across the state has been cancelled. The main entrance of the Sahitya Akademi would be closed from March 11 onwards.

The construction workers welfare SES sitting, which was planned for this month, would be conducted in April.

The Sports Kerala marathon which was planned to be conducted in Kochi on 15th this month has been postponed.
