The Indian Navy on Tuesday announced introducing the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), a computer-based examination, for selection of direct entry officers after graduation.

According to the Indian Navy official website (www.indiannavy.nic.in), the first entrance test will be conducted in September 2019 in various centers across the country. Here's everything you need to know about INET.

The test is directed particularly at graduate students who wish to join the Navy. The exam will be conducted along with UPSC conducted exams, Combined Defence Services exam and National Defence Academy and Naval Academy exam and the University Entry Scheme. While the written exam is conducted by the UPSC, the interviews are held by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
