TANCET–2022 in May: MBA, MCA, ME, MTech in Tamil Nadu varsities; Keralites too eligible

Those who are interested in enrolling for post-graduate programmes like MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, MArch and MPlan at various universities in Tamil Nadu can now register for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test–2022 (TANCET).

The entrance test will be conducted by the Chennai-based Anna University of the Tamil Nadu government in May.

Eligible candidates may register and apply online till 18 April.

The test is for admission to the seats at various university departments, universities/government/aided colleges (engineering, arts and science) and self–financed management colleges in Tamil Nadu. Applicants from other states, including Kerala, can register for this entrance test. However, their admission would be based on the decision of the admitting authorities.

The selection is mainly for three categories. 1) MBA, 2) MCA, 3) ME, MTech, MArch and MPlan. There would be separate entrance test of two-hour duration for each category.

The registration fee for a single category is Rs 800. However, those who wish to attend the entrance exam for more than one category should pay Rs 800 each. Meanwhile, the registration fee for Scheduled Case and Scheduled Tribe candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu is Rs 400.

Entrance schedule
MCA: 10 am – 12 pm on 14 May
MBA: 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm on 14 May
ME, MTech, MArc, MPlan: 10 am – 12 pm on 15 May
