Plus-One: Second-round allottees can secure seats till Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: The higher-secondary Class 11 (Plus-One) admission process has reached a crucial stage with the second allotment. In all 19,545 more students secured admission for various Plus-One courses in Kerala as per the second allotment list.
Those who got the seat allotment may reach the school and complete the admission process from 10 am on June 26 until 5 pm on June 27.
Meanwhile, 17,649 students who were included in the first allotment, got upgraded to their higher options in the latest allotment round.
Among the 3,03409 merit seats, including the reservation seats in the government and aided schools, allotment has been done to 2,35,315 seats until now.
What to do
Applicants who got the first option should pay the fees and secure permanent admission. Meanwhile, those who got lower options can either seek permanent or temporary admission. The candidates who got the same option and school in both the allotments need not take admission again.
Even though it was announced that the second allotment would be published on June 26 it came out two days in advance. In the second phase, allotment has also been done to the vacant seats that weren’t filled after the first round of allotment.
68,094 seats for other categories
Around 68,094 seats remain vacant due to various reasons including shortage of applicants. The third round of allotment would be done after transferring these seats to other reservation categories.
The last round of allotment in the first stage is on July 1.
