New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has directed the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to reduce the qualifying cut-off for NEET Super Specialty courses to 20 percentile from 50.

The decision was taken after the MoHFW held discussions in this regard with the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Earlier, the NBE held the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to various Super Specialty (NEET SS 2023) courses like DM (Doctorate of Medicine) and MCH (Master of Chirurgiae) in September.
The suggestion for reducing the cut-off percentile was given after over 1000 seats remained vacant, even after the completion of two rounds of admission.
