Dhruv Vikram, son of legendary actor Vikram, is awaiting the release of his debut film Adithya Varma, which is slated to release on November 8.

The film is an official Tamil remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy. As part of movie promotions, both father and son – Vikram and Dhruv are going to places. They attended a special event held at Women's College, Thiruvananthapuram and also met the press.

Recently, during one such interviews, Dhruv was asked about his favourite star and he said, “After dad, I like Thalapathy Vijay.”

Earlier, while attending a college event as part of the movie promotions, one of the students asked whose fan he was and Dhruv laughed it off and said, "Honestly speaking, I am a Thalapathy fan."

Well, on social media, Dhruv is applauded for his frank and genuinity unlike being other stars who take diplomatic stand. Interestingly, Vikram and Vijay are known to be best of friends and their families is also said to be close with each other.

Dhruv Vikram is reprising the role of Vijay Deverakonda in the Tamil remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Talking about his dad, he told a daily, “My dad is very critical of my acting. He is very straightforward. If he does not like a take, he will say it is trash. However, it was heartwarming when he appreciated that I was natural in front of camera.”

The remake is directed by Girisayya, a former assistant of Sandeep Reddy Vanga who helmed the original. The latter also helmed the Hindi version of Arjun Reddy titled Kabir Singh, which ended up as a box office hit.
