The communique, posted on Instagram, stated that Trisha has always maintained a apolitical stance and wishes to be recognized solely for her professional achievements in cinema, not for any perceived political affiliations. Her legal team expressed disappointment that someone of Annamalai's stature would make such personal references, especially concerning Vijay's new political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, with the notice urging public figures to exercise responsibility and avoid dragging individuals into unrelated political discourse.
