Hello
Mahaan is not a straight fit into the gansgter genre, but gradually veers into it, by default.
'Mahaan' tracks the life of a man who departs from the righteous path of Mahatma Gandhi in the quest for personal freedom and the dream to become rich.
The teaser, which is 129 seconds long, gives away the fact that Vikram plays a character called Gandhi Mahaan in the film.
The film, helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, will premiere on Prime Video on February 10 and will also be available in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.
Actor Bobby Simha says this role will be one of his best in the gangster flick 'Mahaan', featuring actors Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram in the lead.
The official Twitter account of Prime Video shared the release date of the film with a poster. It'll stream in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Making an official announcement on Thursday evening, the production house said that the film, which was tentatively titled Production 'No 23', will commence soon.
The gangster flick will see Vikram share screen space with his son Dhruv Vikram for the first time.
The action thriller will mark third Tamil film for Malayalam star Fahadh after 'Velaikkaran' and 'Super Deluxe'.
Manjrekar had earlier commented that Ashwin isn't an 'all-time great' as he hasn't done well in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) countries.
