After doing back-to-back Tamil and Telugu flicks, Premam lass Anupama Parameshwaran is making a comeback to Mollywood.
She is all set to play the female lead in the upcoming Dulquer starrer, directed by Sathyan Anthikad.
Talking to Onmanorama, the actress said, ''A few months back while we were at Goa, Sathyan sir and the producer of the movie contacted me. Sathyan sir is one such person whose films I grew up watching. So I didn't think twice. Ever since Premam, although I got many offers in Malayalam, I couldn't commit because of my time constraints.''
''Almost all the movies that I have done so far, it were all heroine centric and had more than one female leads. In this movie too, there will be yet another female lead and the makers are yet to finalize her,” Anupama says.
“I completed all other projects and was waiting for an offer in Mollywood that's when this project came. There was no audition or anything of that sort and getting a direct entry was itself a big recognition”.
Ask her about playing Dulquer Salmaan's female lead, and she blushes.
''Being part of such a star project is itself a big thing. The combination Sathyan sir and Dulquer Salmaan will be like one of the most anticipated things”.
And more than being excited, she wants to give her best.
“Working with different people was a learning process for me. So I just want to give justice to my character. Basically, when we talk about female lead role, people have different notions. All I can say now about the character is that it will be a pivotal role in the movie.''
The actress is also gearing up for the release of Premam's Telugu remake and her Tamil outing 'Kodi' starring Dhanush.
In her Satyan Anthikad movie, Mukesh will be playing Dulquer's father.
Dulquer's character in the movie will have a typical Thrissur dialect.
The movie is scripted by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram and the title and rest of the star cast are expected to be announced soon.
The shooting will commence from August 29.
