Here's why Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty are trending

Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty are back in news. The duo had earlier broken up and had completely moved on with their respective careers. But now, fans are happy over their professional conversation on social media.

The twitter banter

Last week, the team from Kirik Party took to their social media pages to share their happiness on the song reaching a whopping 100 million views online.

Rashmika wrote, "Belageddu - My first ever song.. which I absolutely adore reached 100M, I remember making this song mine.. Living through those montages.. And just finding Saanvi in me.. Ah.. the journey. (Sic)"

She then went on to tag the team including director Rishab Shetty, co-stars Rakshit and Samyuktha Hegde and music composer Ajaneesh B Loknath.

Rakshit's response

To this, Rakshit responded with a rather sweet message, "Grow grow and grow girl. May all your dreams come true." Fans were surprised to see Rakshit's adorable reply and the conversation between the two have become quite the topic of discussion online.

The couple

Earlier in the year, when Rakshit was in Chennai to promote Avane Srimannarayana, in an interview he was asked about his ex-girlfriend Rashmika Mandanna and he then replied and wished her the best.

Rakshit said, "She dreams big. I know her past and, therefore, also know where those dreams come from. I wish Santa makes all her dreams come true."

Rashmika and Rakshit fell in love with each other on the sets of Kirik Party and got engaged in 2017. However, they called off their engagement in 2018. As soon as the news broke, the Geetha Govindam actress was subjected to a lot of abuse and trolling.

The actor had to break his silence and issue a statement asking his fans to not target her.
