Lata Mangeshkar's family refutes death rumours, asks not to fall for fake news

Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after she complained of difficulty in breathing on November 11 and since then fans have been curiously waiting to know her health updates. On Monday, many reports regarding her death surfaced online.

Talking to a website, Lata's niece Rachana confirmed that the veteran singer is doing fine. She also urged fans not to fall for fake news and to ignore them.

It's said that she is stable now and she will be discharged from hospital in the coming days.

Earlier, when she was admitted to hospital, her spokesperson had refuted such rumours.

In her seven-decade long career, Mangeshkar has sung more than 30,000 songs across multiple languages. She received the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 2001.
