In an exclusive interview with Manorama Online, former Miss World runner-up Paravathy Omanakkuttan spilled the beans saying dieting was never a part of her fitness mantra.
Parvathy, who is known for keeping an active fitness regime, made the surprising revelation to Manorama Online that she doesn't follow a strict diet. “Instead, I work out whenever I get time. I make sure that my body is always in good condition.”
“I love eating,” she says,“especially trying out different kinds of food and cuisines. Although, I try to avoid aerated drinks and milk, things that have bad effects on your body. I also stopped eating chicken a while ago. I eat everything else made at home.”
“Most people start dieting only when they are met with some health issues, which is a wrong perspective. If we want to lead a healthy lifestyle, it shouldn't be focused on food alone,” Paravathy said.
What we require is a lifestyle with which we could condition our bodies for everyday life. It will make us strong and happy from inside and out even when we hit sixties, she added.
