Beef fry

Marinated beef pieces cooked with simple spices to get a perfectly savoury meat dish.

Ingredients
½ kg beef
1 ½ tsp ginger finely sliced
1 ½ tsp garlic finely sliced
¾ cup pearl onions sliced
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt, as required
1 medium tomato finely sliced
½ cup water
¼ cup coconut oil
1 cup large onion sliced
Curry leaves
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp garam masala powder

Preparation
Clean the beef. Dice it into small cubes and keep aside
Transfer the beef into a hard bottomed vessel. Mix together ginger, garlic, pearl onion, Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt
Marinate the beef pieces with the mix and keep aside for ten minutes
Later, add tomato and water to it, and keep closed letting it cook
Use pressure cooker if needed
Once the meat is cooked, remove the lid. Keep boiling till all the water leaves the pan
Heat coconut oil in frying pan
Add large onions and curry leaves and fry to a golden brown color
Add cooked meat mix and black pepper powder to the same vessel and mix together. Add more salt if needed
Keep in medium flame for 10-15 minutes. Stir every now and then
Add garam masala powder and stir it in well
To garnish, add fried large onions and curry leaves once the beef mix becomes completely dry
Mix together and remove from stove
