Spicy dhaba-style chicken tawa fry

Dhabas are haven of flavoursome and rich dishes. This special tawa chicken fry is a quintessential dhaba speciality. Here is how you can make this dry dhaba chicken fry at home.

Ingredients
750 gm boneless chicken 
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt as required
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tomato
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp cumin
½ tsp garam masala
Palm full of coriander leaves
1 green chilli (finely chopped)
Small piece ginger (cut into juliennes)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 small onion
Water as required

Preparation
Marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric powder and salt
Keep it aside for an hour
Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken pieces
When the chicken pieces turn light brown in colour add the ginger and garlic pastes
Sauté until the raw smell is gone
Add chopped tomatoes and mix well
Now cook it with the lid on
Into it add coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder and cumin
Pour ¼ glass water and mix everything well
Cook for 10 minutes
Now add onions, lemon juice and some more water
Cook for 5 more minutes
Finally add the green chillies and garam masala
Give everything a good mix
Stir and cook for 5 minutes as well
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Enjoy the special dhaba chicken fry.
