Vermicelli upma

Vermicelli is any child's favourite food. Here is the recipe of Vermicelli upma you can make for breakfast and impress your children.

Ingredients
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups vermicelli
1/2 tsp mustard
Finely chopped ginger
3 green chillies
2 finely chopped onions
Salt as required
1 carrot finely chopped
½ capsicum finely chopped
Curry leaves as required
½ tsp turmeric powder
⅛ tsp asafoetida powder
½ tsp chilli powder

Preparation
Pour 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan, add vermicelli and cook on low heat till light brown
Once the vermicelli has cooled, put it in boiling water and cook for 3 minutes
Drain the water and set aside after frying
Pour 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds
Add ginger, green chillies, onion and salt as required and fry
After frying the onion, add the carrots and capsicum, cover and cook for 2 minutes
Add turmeric powder, asafoetida powder, chilli powder and curry leaves and mix for 1 minute
Add boiled semolina and mix well
Super easy and delicious upma is ready.
