Homemade Arabic porotta

Try making this soft and flaky Arabic porotta that perfectly complements a spicy beef curry. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
¼ cup semolina
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
Salt
Hot water
Oil as required

Preparation
In a bowl mix the semolina, all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt
Pour hot water and knead into dough
Close the lid and keep aside for at least 10 minutes
Make balls from the dough and roll them into thin sheets
Spread some oil on this sheet, sprinkle all-purpose flour and fold again
Keep this aside for another 15 minutes
Now roll into round porottas
Cook the porottas on a hot tawa by rubbing oil on both sides
The porottas should turn golden in colour
Stack the porottas and crumple them with both your hands to separate the flaky layers
Tasty and soft Arabic porotta is ready.
