Madurai bun porotta

Here is the recipe of Madurai bun porotta that could be enjoyed as an evening snack or with tasty curries.

Ingredients
4 cups all purpose flour
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp sugar
1 cup water
Salt as required

Preparation
Take egg, water, sugar and salt in a bowl
Mix well
Into it add the all purpose flour
Knead well into soft dough
Rub some oil on the dough
Keep it aside for at least five hours
Scoop a big ball from the dough
Grease the kitchen counter, rolling pin and the dough balls with some oil
Roll the balls into thin sheets
Rub oil on these sheets as well
Fold the dough sheet from two sides
Roll it in the centre and tuck in the edges
Now, press these using your palm
Do not press hard as the bun porotta should be a bit thicker
Rub oil on a hot pan
Cook the bun porotta until both sides are golden in colour
Crumble the porotta to form the layers
Enjoy the soft and flaky bun porotta.
