Blasters lack quality strikers

Kerala Blasters' Stephen Pearson in action against Delhi Dynamos on Sunday. Josekutty Panackal

From the onset, Kerala Blasters have been struggling with lack of good strikers. Rotating the strikers has not helped and the question is who would take on the mantle for the next game. The team wasted a lot of opportunities in the first half against Delhi Dynamos on Sunday.

I personally feel that (C.S.) Sabeeth should be given a chance as he has the capacity to convert opportunities into goals. He could also be tried by Blasters as a substitute. Kerala's right-back, Cedric Hengbart played amazingly and he was equally good in playing from the front as well as with defence. He was the hero of the game.

I see three chances as superior moves of the game. One of them was Stephen Pearson's move that fooled goalkeeper Kristof Van Hout. Even as Pierson fooled the custodian to pass the ball to Iain Hume, he could not convert it into a goal. Blasters are going to use the same strikers in future games and that means the team would have to work a lot for success.
