In a bid to support women-led development in Rajasthan, the Indian Premiere League team Rajasthan Royals has announced an initiative dedicated to women in their match on Saturday against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Jaipur.

The campaign termed #PinkPromise vows to power six houses in the state with solar power with every six hit by either of the teams.

The Rajasthan Royal's team led by Sanju Samson unveiled a special pink jersey as part of the campaign and promised to pay Rs 100 for each ticket purchased for the #PinkPromise match and to donate all the earnings from the sales to the Rajasthan Royals Foundation.

A performance by domestic Rajasthani women artists and sand art by an artist from the state will be the highlights of the pre-match programmes at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Women beneficiaries from the foundation, notable Rajasthani women who have made the state proud in a range of fields, an interactive AR player booth outside the stadium are supposed to weave a celebratory fervour around the match.

The Rajasthan Royals Foundation (RRF) was established in 2019 with the motto of "Aurat Hai To Bharat Hai." The foundation has ever since been focussing on women empowerment in Rajasthan with equal access to clean energy, mental health, water and livelihood.

The Rajasthan Royals team decided to use #PinkPromise match to introduce solar power to maximum homes in Rajasthan as it produces more opportunities for livelihoods and access to clean energy and sustainable environment.
