Dubai: Indians win big again in Dubai Duty Free raffle. Three Indians hit the jackpot this time around.

Abhishek Kathel won $1 million (more than Rs 7 crore), Lipika Ahluwalia won an Audi car and 14-year-old Farhan Javed Khan won a BMW bike in Finest Surprise raffle.

Abhishek, a resident of Sharjah and a cabin crew in an airline in UAE, won the prize for his ticket 2582 (series 292). “I thank God for this good news. Never expected my first Dubai Duty Free ticket to bring such a fortune. Thanks to Dubai Duty Free,” said Abhishek.

Lipika, 27, won an Audi R8 coupe with ticket number 0380 (series 1708). She reached Dubai two months ago after her marriage and took the ticket while going on her honeymoon to Azerbaijan. “Thanks to Dubai Duty Free. My husband was planning to buy a car. That’s when we got lucky,” Lipika said.

Farhan Javed Khan, who won the BMW R1200 Rally Edition bike on ticket number 0323 (series 356), hails from Ranchi. It was his father Mohammed Javed who took the ticket when he was leaving Dubai after 24 years. Mohammed had earlier won a Porsche in 2008 in Dubai Duty Free raffle.

British citizen H Neel too won the million dollar prize the other day. He has been working in an oil and gas company for 12 years. He thanked the duty free for a great start to 2019.
