COVID-19 vaccination drive for 15-18 age group: 15 lakh children eligible in Kerala, registration begins today

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is set to commence vaccination against COVID-19 for children between the age group of 15 and 18 years. The registration will begin on the dedicate CoWIN portal — www.cowin.gov.in — from Saturday. Vaccination for these registered teens will begin on Monday.

There are more than 15 lakh children in the state who are eligible for vaccination. Bharat Biotech's vaccine Covaxin has been chosen for administering to children.

Points to note

  • While registering on the website one must also upload the identity proof. Those who do not have an Aadhaar card can use their school ID cards.
  • By using "Add more" option four persons can register from a single mobile.
  • There is no bar on registering from the account of parents on the CoWIN portal.
  • Vaccines will be administered even to those who come directly to the vaccination centers and register themselves.
