Kasaragod: The supervisor of Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd., which is responsible for carrying out National Highway maintenance works, was found dead by hanging at his residence on Thursday. The deceased is Maskagovardhana Rao, son of Madakka Simha Chalamma, and a native of Kona village in Andhra Pradesh.
He was found hanging in his room at the AFC building in Periyattadukkam. When he failed to report for duty in the morning, his colleagues went to check on him and found him dead.
Though he was rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had earlier debarred Megha Engineering for one year after multiple cracks were reported along a stretch of the under-construction national highway in Kasaragod.
