Three-year old drowns in pond while playing in Idukki

A three-year-old boy tragically drowned after falling into a pond at Kotakkavala, Karimannoor, on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Dhruv, son of Ananthu and Akshaya of Velam Kunnel, Kodikulam. 

The incident occurred around 4 pm while the child was at his mother’s house under the care of his grandmother. According to relatives, Dhruv was playing in the courtyard when he went missing. A search was launched, and he was later found in the pond. 

Ananthu works as a driver in Ernakulam, while Akshaya is employed as a nursing assistant at a private hospital in Thodupuzha.
