Kerala's Pranav Prince in Tamil Nadu team for FIBA West Asia Super League

Kerala's Pranav Prince is part of Team Tamil Nadu that will compete in the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) finals at the Lusail Sports Hall in Qatar. Team Tamil Nadu is the only side from India in the finals that will see eight teams in action between May 25 and June 1.

Another Malayali, C V Sunny, is the head coach of Team Tamil Nadu that also has two guest players, James Anthony Farr and Brian Karion Halums, both from USA. The eight teams are split into two groups with Tamil Nadu joining Gulf League champions Kuwait Club, Shahrdary Gorgan and Kazma in Group B.

Group A comprises back-to-back sub-zone champions Al Riyadi, defending champions Manama, Sagesse Sports Club, and BC Astana. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The two finalists will earn spots in the inaugural Basketball Champions League Asia (BCL Asia) which will be played from June 9-15 in Dubai.
