Manorama Online is organising ‘MT Kalam – Navathi Vandanam’, an event to honour the legendary writer who turned 90 this year.
The actor recalled how as a young boy of 18 he was invited to act in 'Kanyakumari', the Malayalam film scripted by M T and directed by K T Sethumadhavan.
The dance programme, performed with images of famous temples of Kerala in the backdrop, lasted nearly an hour.
T D Ramakrishnan, E Santhoshkumar, K Rekha and Francis Noronha spoke about how MT influenced their life and writing at ‘MT Kalam – Navathi Vandanam’.
The function will be inaugurated by veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, while actors Mammootty and Mohanlal will honour MT.
The session titled 'Musical revisit of MT cinemas' began with the rendition of 'Karayunno Puzha Chirikkunno' from the movie 'Murapennu'.
Majority of these releases even failed to yield the expense of pre-release promotions, let alone recover the production costs.
The renowned writer will be honoured by leading Malayalam actors Mammootty and Mohanlal.
