Kozhikode: A woman, hailing from Bihar, was found dead inside the hotel room of a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sub-inspector on Monday night. Fathima Nisha was found to be hanging and her body was taken to the Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Police say that the death might have taken place on Saturday and more details would be available only after the autopsy.

According to the CISF officials, the SI, Viswajith Singh was away at his native place his Uttar Pradesh and had returned on Monday with his wife. The hotel owner was under the impression that the woman, who used to visit and stay with Viswajith, was his wife. Nobody had the whereabouts of Fathima.

On November 4, both Viswajith and Fathima had apparently left for their respective houses in UP and Bihar. Viswajith reportedly received a message from Fathima on Saturday that she was back at his room. Viswajith had already started from UP and informed her that he was coming along with his wife. It was not sure if Fathima had known earlier that the SI was married.

Visawjith earlier worked in Kochi and had shifted to Karipur here almost a year ago.
