The first-look poster of Rosshan Andrrews' film 'Kayamkulam Kochunni', starring Nivin Pauly in the lead, has been released. The poster shows Nivin in an aggressive sprinting action with a knife in hand in a battle zone.
The period film is scripted by noted screenplay writer duo Bobby and Sanjay. The story deals with the life and travails of the legendary outlaw Kayamkulam Kochunni, the highwayman who robbed the rich and helped the poor during the British rule in the 19th century.
Gopi Sunder has composed the music while the camera has been cranked by award-winning cinematographer, Binod Pradhan, a native of West Bengal belonging to the Gorkha community. His noted works include, 1942 A Love Story, Devdas, Munna Bhai MBBS among others.
Mohanlal plays the significant character of Ithikkara Pakki in an extended cameo role. The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner Sree Gokulam movies.
Priya Anand, Priyanka Thimmesh, Sunny Wayne, Babu Antony, Manikandan, Thesni Khan, Shine Tom Chacko, Jude Anthany and Sudev Nair play prominent roles in the film.
