Athiran teaser: Sai Pallavi, Fahadh Faasil stun in scary thriller

The teaser of Fahadh Faasil's upcoming movie ' Athiran' has been released and movie buffs can't keep calm. The reason probably lies for it's horror stylized visualization that evokes enough curiosity with a menacing background score.

Sai Pallavi is back to Mollywood with a dashing performance, and the teaser just proves our intuition right. The 40-seconds long video opens with a rather rebellious Fahadh shouting out to someone that 'autism isn't a disease, but a developmental disorder'. He further goes to a dim cellar where Sai Pallavi who plays Nithya is seen chained and abandoned. With long hair put across her face, Sai Pallavi is barely recognizable. And the rest is enough to shock you and may be thrill you.

Touted to be a psychological thriller, Athiran's story and direction is by Vivek while scrip is by P F Mathews. The cinematography is handled by Anil Moothedan. Acclaimed Tamil music director Ghibran will compose the background scores . The movie will also see actors like Athul Kulkarni, Prakash Raj, and Renji Panicker.

Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is back to Malayalam after three years. The actress was last seen in Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kali in 2016. After making her debut in Nivin Pauly's Premam, Sai Pallavi has been busy with Telugu and Tamil projects. Sai Pallavi is currently awaiting the release of Selvaraghavan’s NGK, where she plays the lead with Suriya. With Athiran, Sai Pallavi is expected to get a big break with a challenging role. Reports has it that the film will also have another female lead apart from her. A video song featuring Sai Pallavi and Renji Panicker has been released recently that caught attention on social circles.

On the other hand, Fahadh Faasil will be seen in a totally different avatar after performing as Shammi from 'Kumbalangi Nights'. His latest release 'Super Deluxe' in Tamil has been receiving wide applauds from all quarters. Currently, he is shooting for Anwar Rasheed’s Trance gearing up for release this year.

Athiran will hit screens on April 12 as Vishu release.
