Bakery-style banana biscuit

Huge glass jars full of cute yellow biscuits never fail to draw our eyes at the bakeries. Banana biscuits are delicious and are perfect for those who prefer munching on something sweet with their evening tea. Here is how you could make tasty banana biscuits at home.

Ingredients
1 ¼ cups all purpose flour
80 gm saltless butter (kept in room temperature)
¾ cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp corn flour
¼ tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
1 tsp turmeric powder/a drop of yellow food colour
1 tsp banana essence
1 beaten egg

Preparation
Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree Celsius
In a bowl mix the butter with powdered sugar
Into it add turmeric powder/food colour and banana essence
Now add the all purpose flour, corn flour, baking powder and salt
Mix well into dough
Make small balls from it and shape into nut shape
Place the biscuits on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil
Give them an egg wash using a brush
Bake the biscuits in the pre heated oven (on the top rack) for at least 15 minutes
Enjoy the banana biscuits after they have cooled down
Store them in air tight containers or tins.
